Concrete Paint MixesThis suggestion is from a Bob Smaus article in the May 1992 issue of Railroad Model Craftsman. He used it on a Concrete Interlocking Tower, and it represents well, the sun-bleached color that concrete tends towards, in a hot climate. It does not do well however, for the floor of your Roundhouse, this needs to be much darker, as it is not usually subject to direct sunlight.
Another suggestion, this time from the December 1992 issue of Model Railroader, courtesy Andy Sperandeo via Paintshop.
To get an appropriate shade of concrete. |
