Concrete Paint Mixes

This suggestion is from a Bob Smaus article in the May 1992 issue of Railroad Model Craftsman. He used it on a Concrete Interlocking Tower, and it represents well, the sun-bleached color that concrete tends towards, in a hot climate. It does not do well however, for the floor of your Roundhouse, this needs to be much darker, as it is not usually subject to direct sunlight.

• 'Concrete Paint Mix'
  • 6 parts Floquil 11 Reefer White
  • 2 parts Floquil 85 Antique White
  • 1 part Floquil 82 Concrete
  • 1 drop of Floquil 70 Roof Brown

• An Alternative 'Concrete Paint Mix'
  • Start with Floquil 85 Antique White
  • Add Floquil 81 Earth
  • Add Floquil 87 Depot Buff
  • And even Floquil 82 Concrete

To get an appropriate shade of concrete.
