Southern PacificPassenger TrainsThe Del MonteAdditions welcome. Other List Subjects also solicited. This information has been compiled from postings to the SP Mailing list by Jeff Cauthen. The Del Monte was sort of a commute train that ran from San Jose to Pacific Grove. It was discontinued in April 1971. For many years she carried Train No.s 77 and 78, later changed to 126-139 and later still 126-141, these were San Francisco Commute service Train numbers. This train also carried the famous "Oliver Millet" see references below.
