![]() jw-b30_a 44K SP/SSW B30-7 Jim Willet Here we see two B30-7's coupled together, both Speed Lettered, but both different detail wise. #7774 closest to the camera, was the first B30-7 delivered to Cotton Belt in 1980. The other, #7801 was the second B30-7 delivered Southern Pacific in 1978. Had this been #7800, this would have been an exceptional photograph, showing both class leaders together, however #7800 was wrecked in 1983 at Tyler TX. | ![]() jw-b30_b 47K SP/SSW B30-7 Jim Willet Image showing the left-hand side of #7774, notice the air-conditioner at the back of the cab, large exhaust stack, horn placement. | ![]() jw-b30_c 38K SP/SSW B30-7 Jim Willet Image showing right-hand side of #7774, showing the above details a little clearer, also overall fuel tank detail. | ![]() jw-b30_d 33K SP/SSW B30-7 Jim Willet Cab shot of #7774, here it really shows its Cotton Belt heritage, with SSW sub-lettering. Plus handbrake chain and tube detail. |
![]() jw-b30_e 45K SP/SSW B30-7 Jim Willet Right-hand side shot of #7801, small exhaust stack, and roof mounted bell. Plus horn alongside the bell. | ![]() jw-b30_f 31K SP/SSW B30-7 Jim Willet Left-hand side shot of #7801, above details again. | ![]() jw-b30_g 40K SP/SSW B30-7 Jim Willet Close-up of cab of #7801, notice the set of louvers on the side of the nose, and the box behind the cab, (both missing from the Bachmann B23-7). Horn and bell in clearer detail. | ![]() jw-b30_h 34K SP/SSW B30-7 Jim Willet Right rear end shot of #7801, showing grill arrangement. Notice the little access door just in front of the radiator wings, doesn't seem to appear on the left-hand side. |
