C-50-4's were International Car built in 1972 for SP #1875-1929, identical to the C-50-3's except for axle mounted generators and rounded corners on the Thermopane end bay windows. Also under the bay in the above photo, is the large battery box.

Details:

  • no roofwalks, end ladders as built,
  • diagonally braced smoke-jack,
  • no end-plate on the roof ends,
  • rounded corner bay windows,
  • side and end windows have square corners,
  • air receiver under bay, one window this side,
  • four battery box doors, two windows this side,
  • notched side sill and axle-hung generator,
  • delivered with:
    • single 'bug-eye' marker lights,
    • aluminum-framed windows screens,
    • mineral red with orange bay ends and end walls,
