SP #1654 - an M-4 class Mogul built by Cooke (Alco) in 1899 and scrapped in 1949. The photo was shot while still in operation in Los Angeles on August 8, 1946.

Units were owned by SP, TNO, GH&SA, Arizona Eastern, Northwestern Pacific and SPdeM.

#1650 and 1651 diverted to GH&SA from new
