These 10 engines were originally built by SP Houston Shops in 1928-1930, transferred to the SPdeM in 1938-39 keeping these numbers. Leased to SP 1939-41 and renumbered 1837-1845 except #525 which was leased but not renumbered, maybe not used?. Back to TNO in 1942 renumbered to their original 500 series numbers. #525 was scrapped 1949, remaining engines numbered sequentially. Renumbered again in early 1950 to 676-684 and again to 482-490 in mid 1950.
