Originally built for the El Paso and Southwestern as their #134-137.
They were transferred to Southern Pacific in 1924 and renumbered #1900-1903.
In 1925 they were renumbered again to #701-704 and were sent to Southern Pacific de Mexico; however #704 was renumbered back to #1903, converted from coal to oil firing and sent to San Francisco.
#1903 was used in commute service until being scrapped in 1934. #701-703 were scrapped in Mexico in 1934-35.
