Originally built for the El Paso and Southwestern as their #138-139.
They were transferred to Southern Pacific in 1925 and renumbered #1904-1905.
Possibly used in commute and/or local service in San Francisco, and converted from coal to oil firing; these were scrapped in the mid 1930's.
