Southern Pacific SD7R

Models:

  • N Scale:
    • LifeLike
  • HO Scale:
    • The Athearn kit - with the too wide body,
    • The Railpower Products - Shell with or without their chassis,
    • The LifeLike (virtually) RTR model.
  • O Scale:
    • ?

As a person who likes to build models, and is into painting and decaling, my preference is the Railpower Shell and chassis kit. These kits allow you you to do the single fuel tank, and the non-dynamic versions of the SP SD7R's, as well as spend outrageous amounts of money on detail parts.
