23 units rebuilt

Three Cotton Belt SW7's, four Cotton Belt SW9's, and seventeen T&NO SW1200's were sold to SP and rebuilt, losing their Cotton Belt and T&NO identity. In some texts, these are known as SW7E's and SW9E's, in others they are collectively known as SW1200E's.

Details appear to vary with the rebuilds, depending on what the unit originally was, ie. the SSW SW9's don't appear to have had signal light packages fitted - photographs of a chosen unit in your timeframe will be needed to accurately model an SW1200E.
