Four U28B's from GE demonstrated on the SP (in SP paint) in 1966. SP purchased the units one month later.

These were U28B's in U25B carbodies except for split front cab windows, as well the U28B's have a ratchet handbrake as against a brakewheel on the U25B's.

California was their usual home, generally around West Colton.

Stewart has made a HO Scale model of the U25B that requires minimal modifications.

The Athearn U28B can't be used, as SP's U28B's weren't...
