The C-50-2's were built by International Car only for SSW in 1968 SSW #58-77. These were the last cabooses built with roofwalks and end ladders. Painting and history details really as per other classes...

The photo above shows the marker lights moved to above the end doors, and possibly just the one window this side (plated over). Plans show the other side with three windows when built, however, the photo below from Tom Jones, shows only two windows plated over...

Details:

  • unbraced smoke-jack,
  • partial end-plate on the roof ends,
  • square cornered bay windows,
  • side and end windows have square corners,
  • not sure of the position of the battery boxes no axle-hung generator,
  • internal fuel tank,
  • notched side sill,
  • delivered with:
    • double 'frog-eye' marker lights,
    • mineral red with orange bay ends and end walls,
