EMD F9Am and F9Bm

These rebuilds were all older F3's, so they kept their F3 style dynamic brake vents. That is; they had the two parallel rectangular vents over the dynamic grids rather than a fan. An F3 model would be the best start to making one of these.

    • 87-177 for Blood Noses
    • 87-201 for Black Widows

    • Märklin F7 that could be updated
    • does Kadee still offer an F unit?

    • Athearn will eventually market the Highliner A unit
    • Athearn makes an F7 that could be updated
    • Highliner makes B unit shells suitable for any F type B unit (except FTB's)
    • Intermountain have F units in A and B
    • Stewart F9 A and B

    • Atlas did once make an F9
    • All Nation ?
