Description Assembled from the hump at West Colton and bound for the Alton & Southern yard in St. Louis, WCASY grinds up San Timoteo Canyon between Ordway and El Casco in the last light of an autumn evening. The combination of an SD40T-2 leading a pair of B30-7s and spliced by a GP9 was not all that uncommon two decades ago on the Sunset Route. Neither were (nor still are) the three SDs shoving mid-train.
